Research area:
atmospheric aerosols, climate change, aerosol optical thickness

Why is your research important?
Atmospheric aerosols have a strong impact on the radiation reaching the Earth’s surface and the sea.

What are your personal motivations?
My personal motivations stem from a deep commitment to addressing some of the critical environmental challenges facing our planet today. Understanding the impact of atmospheric aerosols on radiation reaching the Earth’s surface and the sea is crucial because it influences climate change, weather patterns, and even marine life.

What are you going to do during the cruise onboard?
I will be the head of science and my tasks will include efficient management of all measurement groups. Additionally, I will perform measurements of AOT, concentration of black carbon and aerosols in the near-water layer of the atmosphere.
