Why is your research important?
Acoustic methods allow for non-invasive fast characterization of underwater organisms, as well as estimation of fish biomass.
What are your personal motivations?
As a scientist, I am curious about the processes taking place in the water column.
What are you going to do during the cruise onboard?
I will be one of the people responsible for operating and calibrating the echosounder, as well as acquiring the hydroacoustic data.
